What is it?
The Bitbot Challenge 2020 is a contest powered by the & nbsp; Department of Digital Policies and Public Administration of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Foundation & nbsp; i2CAT within the framework of the program Bitbot , and aims to promote technological leisure activities in the territory during the current situation of lack of confidence.
To participate in this competition, it is necessary that the activities that take place at the summer camp are directly related to topics in the digital field such as digital manufacturing, programming, educational robotics , cybersecurity or digital cyber activity .
The activities must be carried out between July 1 and September 13 with face-to-face or online mode (or combining the two) and must be for a total of 20 hours.
50% of the places for ICT Girls
This year's edition encourages entities and companies to enter the contest for promoting and guaranteeing that 50% of the places are for female participants . The action is launched within the DonaTIC program of the Government, which seeks to increase the presence of women in the technological sphere .
Awards
Twenty best proposals will be selected from all the activities presented that will receive a prize of € 1,500 & nbsp; .
Once the deadline for the completion ends, the participating entities will have to present a justifying report of the activities carried out. A specialized jury will evaluate them and select the three winners .
The awards are:
- 1st prize: € 4,000
- 2nd prize: € 2,500
- 3rd prize: € 1,500
Registration
Entities and companies that meet the requirements can submit their application from June 3 to 23, 2020 (until 23:59) through this link . Finalists will be announced on July 1.
