Next Friday, February 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Centre Cívic Convent de Sant Agustí, located at Carrer del Comerç, number 36, in the city of Barcelona, will host the day 'The learning in digital in vulnerable environments'. For the first time, the Casal dels Infants, the Maker Convent and the Fundació Fèlix Llobet Nicolau are co-organizing the meeting which will seek to be a meeting space between professionals to debate, reflect and experiment with the aim of socially empowering children, adolescents and young people with the maker methodology to deal with the digital gap. The day will have an inspirational space and an experimental space.
In the inspirational space, there will be 'Glass ceilings: intersectionality in access to STEAM professions' by Patricia Santos Rodríguez, professor of the research group in educational technology TIDE - Universitat Pompeu Fabra, 'Not everything digital going through the screen or using a screen involves working on digital skills (plugged in versus unplugged)' by Eduard Muntaner and Maria Berrocal, members of the Tekhné Chair at the University of Girona, and 'The maker as a tool for social return and take care of the community' by Oscar Martínez Ciuró, educator, technologist and coordinator of the Maker Convent of the Convent of Sant Agustí. Within the experimental space, there will be 'Tinkering as an educational tool' with Clara Borràs, coordinator of the Manufacturing Academy of the Technological Park, and Anna Fabón, educator at the Casal dels Infants, 'Machines as a social driver' with Laura Maliverni and Cristina Valero, founders of the CosiCosa Cultural Association, and Marc Pascual, educator of the Tic Tac program at the Casal dels Infants, 'The game as a formula to work on computational thinking' with Oriol Codina, coordinator of the space digital creation community 'Obrador Digital' of the Pare Manel Foundation, and Ximena Ibañez, educator at the Casal dels Infants, and 'The role of the educator in the maker' with Verónica Martín, responsible for the children's project at the Convent of Sant Agustí, and Núria Olivera, educator at the Casal dels Infants.
