Recently, the Departament d’Acció Exterior i Unió Europea de la Generalitat de Catalunya has shared a call from the French entity 'Association Territoire et Innovation Sociale', which is looking for partner entities in the State and in Portugal to develop a project of social innovation in rural areas. The New-Aquitania entity wants to coordinate a three-year Interreg SUDOE project that focuses on social innovation in rural areas. So, the aim of the social innovation project in rural areas is to respond to the needs of rural populations in terms of access to social services and the preservation of social ties.
Specifically, the French entity wants to present itself at the next call for Interreg SUDOE with a project with an experimental and transnational approach that is part of the Social and Solidarity Economy sector and that seeks to renew the attractiveness necessary to keep these areas alive and active. The aim is to find local and regional authorities, agents of the social and solidarity economy and citizens who want to get involved.
