This quarter, the Canòdrom. L'Ateneu d'Innovació Digital i Democràtica , located at Carrer de Concepción Arenal, number 165, in the city of Barcelona, will host an exciting proposal for children aged 6 to 8 and adolescents aged 9 to 12. From September to December, on Mondays, from 5 to 7 p.m., the facility will become the setting for around a dozen '#EstàsOn' workshops, which will introduce children and adolescents to the different STEAM disciplines through experimentation and play. The proposal 'Sky Explorers, create your constellation' (on Monday, September 28, for children aged 6 to 8) will discover the secrets of the night sky, the proposal 'Inside the universe exploring stars and galaxies' (on Monday, October 5, for teenagers aged 9 to 12) will discover the most fascinating secrets of the universe and the proposal 'Let's experiment with aerodynamics' (on Monday, October 19, for children aged 6 to 8) will delve deeper into aerodynamics and facilitate the creation of an airplane. Also, the proposal 'Discovering the properties of materials' (on Monday, November 2, for adolescents aged 9 to 12) will discover matter through visual experiments, the proposal 'Challenging physics' (on Monday, November 9, for children aged 6 to 8) will introduce the laws of physics and the proposal 'Women scientists change the world' (on Monday, November 16, for adolescents aged 9 to 12) will discover the role of women within the world of science. Finally, the proposal 'The music of the wave in the ear' (on Monday 23 November, for children aged 6 to 8) will discover the world of music, sounds, vibrations and instruments, the proposal 'Symmetry and reflection, let's experiment with mirrors' (on Monday 30 November, for teenagers aged 9 to 12) will play with mirrors and lights and the proposal 'Sea researchers' (on Monday 14 December, for children aged 6 to 8) will discover the secrets of the sea. In short, the '#EstàsOn' workshops, which are part of the STEAM action and advocacy plan of the Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Activa, will seek to promote scientific and technological vocations with a gender perspective in childhood and adolescence.
