The General Directorate of Digital Society of the Department of Business and Employment of the Generalitat of Catalonia has launched the campaign 'In Catalonia, being digital has no age' with the aim of spreading the training programme 'Més Digitals' throughout the Catalan territory and encouraging citizens' participation in the 9,031 courses offered by the Government of the Generalitat of Catalonia to improve skills and abilities with mobile devices. In this sense, the campaign 'In Catalonia, being digital has no age' disseminates the opportunities of the program with television advertisements, radio spots or outdoor advertising.

Framed in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union with Next Generation European funds, the programme 'Més Digitals' aims to become a versatile, inclusive and transformative program and pursues capillarity in the territory. Specifically, the programme 'Més Digitals' has a budget of 20.6 million euros that will be allocated to reducing the digital divide and promoting the digital empowerment of more than 90,000 people through more than 9,000 courses that will be taught throughout the Catalan territory to help citizens achieve basic skills and competencies in the digital field and at the same time improve their quality of life through the use of new technologies in a safe, inclusive, sustainable, democratic and equitable way.

Therefore, these will be small training courses, which will be free, face-to-face and aimed at people over 60 and other people in vulnerable situations. The courses will last a total of fifteen hours and will be carried out in small groups, between five and fifteen people, distributed throughout the Catalan territory. Specifically, they will take place in regional capitals and municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants, although they will also be carried out in other towns. Specifically, the programme 'Més Digitals' will offer three different training itineraries that will adapt to the participants' previous digital knowledge: 'Discovering the digital world', for people who want to get started using a mobile device and become familiar with new technologies, 'Moving through the digital world', for people who use a mobile device or smart tablet, but who need to be more autonomous and want to give them new uses, and 'Deepening into the digital world', for people with basic autonomy in the use of digital tools, but who want to delve deeper into them. Consequently, participants will receive a certificate accrediting their training within the framework of the programme 'Més Digitals'.

In essence, the objective will be to train more than 90,000 people before 2026. Specifically, the program will prioritize training around 80,000 people over 60, but also people in vulnerable situations such as, for example, members of families with school-age children at risk of exclusion, people with functional diversity or people with a low level of education and difficult employability. In this sense, the program will also set itself the goal of training around 10,000 people from these other groups.
