This November, the ICT Point of the Municipal Employment Service of Girona City Council will focus on giving visibility to women in science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics. Under the title 'November STEAM', the TIC Point will stimulate a series of vindictive proposals. The central activity will be the exhibition 'Encyclopedia of Women STEAM' which can be enjoyed from Friday November 1 to Saturday November 30 at the Salvador Allende Library. The exhibition includes interesting profiles of twenty relevant female researchers in the STEAM field with an illustrated portrait and a text explaining their contributions.
In this context, on Tuesday, November 5, at 5 p.m., in the La Marfà meeting room, the round table 'Breaking gender stereotypes at work: sharing experiences' will be organized, where Laura Planas, Elisenda Caamaño , Anna Fàbregas and Laura Fanals will share their professional trajectories. Then, at 6 p.m., the exhibition 'Enciclopédia de Dones STEAM' will be opened by co-author Sandra Uve. Then, on Saturday November 9, at 10 a.m., at the Salvador Allende Library, the 'STEAM Adventure: play, create and learn' activity will be held, where various board games and different STEAM constructions will be discovered.
