Next Thursday, November 23, at 6:30 p.m., at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, which is located at Carrer Montalegre number 5 in the city of Barcelona, there will be a talk on the AINA Program, a research project that aims to provide catalan with sufficient resources to allow citizens to lead a digital life in the catalan language. Specifically, the presentation will be given by researcher Marta Villegas, who will talk about the Barcelona Supercomputing Center project. Therefore, the AINA Program aims to develop artificial intelligence resources and language technologies in order to provide catalan with the necessary infrastructure to develop applications based on these technologies, guarantee the inclusion of the language catalan to the applications of artificial intelligence and language technologies, promote the sector and ensure that citizens can participate in catalan in the digital world at the same level as other languages in the world. Within this framework, from the Xarxa Punt TIC, the facilitators are invited to learn about the distinctive features of the AINA Program and to participate in the promotion of the use of catalan in the digital world.
The talk 'AINA, the promotion of catalan in the digital era' is part of a cycle of various informative presentations made around the exhibition 'Artificial Intelligence', curated by Lluís Nacenta and based on a traveling exhibition of Barbican Center of the city of London. Currently, the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona hosts the exhibition, which experiments with artificial intelligence to raise awareness of risks, discover scientific innovations and delve deeper into a key technology in the future of humanity.
