The Punt TIC Biblioteca Popular d'Ulldecona , Biblioteca Municipal de Llorenç del Penedès , Biblioteca Mestre Martí Tauler , Biblioteca Cal Gallifa , Biblioteca Santiago Rusiñol , Biblioteca Municipal Joan Sardà i Lloret and the Biblioteca Municipal de Cervelló will be collection points for laptops and tablets in disused , which will be sent to schools around the world to be reused and foster education in resource-poor environments and protect the planet from climate change.
This action is part of a recycling campaign in collaboration with the non-profit platform Labdoo , which is responsible for sending devices to different countries. Citizens who want to get rid of such a device only need to go to the reception of the equipment, where they will pick it up to deliver it to Labdoo and, thus, boost the circular economy. .
The campaign allows laptops with educational applications to be delivered to schools around the world at no cost and without generating additional CO2 emissions around the globe. This joint action aims to achieve various goals of sustainable development , promote access to education in resource-poor environments and protect the planet from climate change.
