The European Commission launches the fifth edition of the European Social Innovation Competition. Organized since 2012 in memory of Diogo Vasconcelos, the contest encourages all Europeans to find solutions to problems that faces our society. The 2017 edition will be released at a conference to be held in Athens on 28 February.
The theme, the terms and details about the participation process will be announced at the launch event of the new edition and published in the section of the contest in the Eurpea Commission's website.
The theme of the 2016 edition was the integration of refugees and migrants in Europe. Aabout a thousand people from 36 different states participated and three awards of 50 thousand euros were distributed.
