In the coming months of April, May and June, the 'Més Digitals' programme of the Secretariat of Digital Policies of the Department of Business and Employment of the Generalitat de Catalunya will carry out its last quarter. Currently, the initiative has seven face-to-face training itineraries and three virtual training proposals. As the latest developments, the 'Més Digitals' programme has launched the virtual training proposal 'parental support in the digital environment' with content adapted to everyday family life and the face-to-face training itinerary 'digital tools for employability' with content adapted to job search.
In this sense, the 'Més Digitals' program offers three virtual training proposals , that is, free eight-hour courses taught online and asynchronously around the training of new technologies with a dynamic, practical, playful and enjoyable approach: 'cybersecurity and privacy' , which promotes online security and personal protection and favors a safe digital environment for people, 'artificial intelligence' , which ensures that the population is prepared to interact with emerging technologies in a critical and responsible way, and 'parental support in the digital environment' , which promotes the role of families as guides and examples for their sons and daughters in safe and responsible browsing of the network. Specifically, the latest editions of the 'cybersecurity and privacy' and 'artificial intelligence' courses will be the April edition (from April 9 to May 3), the May edition (from May 4 to May 31) and the June edition (from June 1 to June 29). As for the 'parental support in the digital environment' course, the April edition (from April 13 to May 10), the May edition (from May 4 to May 31) and the June edition (from June 1 to June 29) will be taught.
Likewise, the 'Més Digitals' program offers seven face-to-face training itineraries , that is, free fifteen-hour courses taught in small groups and throughout the Catalan territory on the use of the Internet and smartphones: 'discovering the digital world' , for people who want to start using a mobile device and become familiar with new technologies, 'moving through the digital world' , for people who use a mobile device or smart tablet and need to be more autonomous or want to give them new uses, 'entering the digital world' , for people with basic autonomy in the use of digital tools who want to delve deeper into them, 'protecting ourselves in the digital world' , for people who want to learn useful and practical tools for security in the digital world, 'your health in the digital world' , for people who want to learn useful and practical tools for health in the digital world, 'safe consumption in the digital world' , for people who want to learn about useful and practical tools for good consumption in the digital world, and 'digital tools for employability' , for people who want to learn about and develop the essential digital skills to take advantage of the resources offered by the digital world for job searching. Framed in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union with Next Generation European funds and with the support of Localret, these itineraries prioritize the participation of people over 60, unemployed people, members of families with school-age children who are at risk of social exclusion, people with functional diversity, people with criminal measures in the community and residents of open prisons and relatives of people residing in prisons and juvenile justice educational centers. In essence, the initiative works to combat the digital divide and promote digital empowerment in the territory.
