On the last Wednesday of every month, from 12 to 2:30 p.m., at the North Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the 'MusicData UPC' initiative organizes a university morning meeting with exciting musical proposals by artists, producers and music selectors from 'high level. These are often grouped together with spaces for debate and collective reflection with experts in the design, production and governance of artificial intelligence. Promoted by Digitalfems, Intacta Music and UPCArts, 'MusicData UPC' is a cultural program that combines live music with critical reflections on the impact of algorithmic systems on digital music and its influence on the visibility of artists. The next musical meeting will be next Wednesday, April 24, and will focus on the importance of metadata and understanding the impact that metadata has on aspects such as gender and discrimination. Likewise, DJ Eneida Fever! will put the musical touch to the event.
