The Espai Tecnològic Comunitari o el Punt Òmnia Casal dels Infants del Raval, located in the Raval neighborhood in the Ciutat Vella district in the city of Barcelona, has carried out a storytelling project with children and young people. The initiative sought to tell stories through NFC tags. "The project, which arises from a proposal from the University of Barcelona through the research, teaching and virtual learning group of teachers Marc Fuertes and Mario Barjas which has the collaboration of the Blue Arrow collective of the city of Naples in Italy, talks about stories that happen in the Raval neighborhood in the Ciutat Vella district in the city of Barcelona. These are stories that affect very closely the children and teenagers of the Espai Tecnològic Comunitari", explains Marc Pascual, educator and facilitator of the Punt Òmnia Casal dels Infants del Raval.
The initiative, which is part of the Creative Kids program, has had the creativity, motivation and drive of fifteen children and young people between the ages of 7 and 12 who have imagined a set of exciting adventures and they have openly and generously shared their emotions, their fears and their feelings. In total, seven stories have been created using a pencil, a paper, four colors, a mobile phone, a mobile app and NFC tags. Through these elements, children and young people have opened the door to a world full of possibilities. "We talk, for example, about the fear of failure, emigration or school bullying. Thanks to the NFC tags, we narrate our experiences with the help of new technologies", affirms Pascual.
The Espai Tecnològic Comunitari o el Punt Òmnia Casal dels Infants del Raval is a project that works to reduce situations of social vulnerability based on the access and mastery of new technologies by the population in situations of social risk. The TIC Point organizes activities for children, young people and adults.
