The Punt Òmnia Centre for Social Promotion Francesc Palau , located at Plaça Blanes, number 7, in the town of El Prat de Llobregat, has launched the second edition of the 'Espai Cures' project. Designed especially for women caregivers of people who are in a situation of dependency, the initiative consists of promoting a set of five or six short training courses. The aim of the 'Espai Cures' project is to break down the barriers of the digital world by offering a space of trust, welcome and useful and practical learning. The initiative is designed to accompany women caregivers in their day-to-day lives, helping them to use digital tools that can be applied immediately in their daily lives. The training courses are structured in such a way that they adapt to the real needs of the group, which is unfortunately invisible and little recognized and at the same time essential and crucial for the sustenance of life. In this sense, the first edition had fifteen women participants. The assessment of the participating women was very positive and many of them highlighted the fact that the trainings placed caregivers at the center, recognizing their work and adapting the sessions to their real needs. In essence, the 'Espai Cures' project seeks to improve their quality of life and their autonomy, making the digital world their ally.
