The Punt TIC Vilafranca Virtual has presented the new season of programs, courses and training capsules to improve citizens' digital skills. First of all, the Punt TIC Vilafranca Virtual will develop the OcupaTIC program, which seeks to enhance the digital capabilities of the users of the Vilafranca del Penedès Town Council's Employment Service who are looking for work and are part of the itineraries of orientation or make use of the Job Club. Specifically, the OcupaTIC program is divided into three twelve-hour training modules of different levels of difficulty. Next November, the more advanced module on handling office programs, exploring and managing information and Google tools will start, and next January, the more basic module on mouse and keyboard use and Internet browsing. Secondly, the Punt TIC Vilafranca Virtual will energize several short-term training capsules, from four to six hours, aimed at all citizens on, for example, the approach to Libre Office programs, the introduction to Canva or the management and online procedures. Soon, sessions on the mobile phone, social networks or photo retouching will be scheduled. Finally, as an ACTIC collaborating center, the Punt TIC Vilafranca Virtual will organize two thirty-hour courses in the first months of next year to prepare the basic and intermediate level ACTIC certificate. At the same time, the accreditation tests will be done.
Currently, the Punt TIC Vilafranca Virtual has two physical spaces in Vilafranca del Penedès: La Fassina with four ICT classrooms and the Municipal Employment Office with an ICT classroom that is mainly dedicated to the Job Club supporting people in search of job The two municipal facilities are part of the Vilafranca del Penedès Town Council's Employment Service.
