Wemin Raval opens new registrations to reverse the gender bias in technologies with a free technological training that includes a diversity of knowledge and tools ranging from office automation and basic digital literacy , the use of radio and artistic creation through of 3D printing . The course will take place from February 21 to March 14 , 2023, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
It is a project of Punt ICT Òmnia Colectic del Raval aimed at migrant women, refugees and neighbors , which aims to make them employable . The idea was born from a European project funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) in 2018 . The initial objective was to empower these women through ICT through different trainings and participation and culture workshops in the territory. After implementing it in the Raval, however, they realized that it was necessary to adapt it even more to the context .
The challenge: finding work and improving women's autonomy
The training includes everything from an introduction to the parts of a computer and basic digital skills , to an approach to job search tools, to how to make a CV or how to carry out the administrative procedures they have to deal with in their day to day. However, they also carry out other types of activities, such as 3D workshops for artistic expression or radio .
The project has an intercultural and gender perspective, of learning among peers and helps to promote interaction between women who arrive in the neighborhood and the city with local women. This makes for a very enriching exchange of looks and two-way learning . To register, contact the project manager, Lady Pazmiño , at: lady.pazmino@colectic.coop or 633,477,152.
