Within the framework of the Punt TIC La Florida - Les Planes and powered by the Fundació AEMA, the TIC-Truck project promotes the use of new information and communication technologies in the city of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The intention is to bring the digital support points closer to the doors of the homes of the local residents. The initiative, which began its activity last March, has been very well received throughout these first months accompanying and providing support when carrying out digital procedures. Currently, the itinerant project has advised more than 500 people. The topics most in demand have been the processing of school pre-registration and advice on digital procedures and local projects. In this line, the most common age range has been 35 to 44 years and the second has been 25 to 34 years.
So, every two or three months, the TIC-Truck project, which consists of a recycled shipping container that has been converted into a mobile office, is installed in a different neighborhood of the city of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat , specifically to a location of reference for citizens. At present, the initiative is located in Plaça de les Germanes Ocaña in the Collblanc neighborhood of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and is expected to remain there until mid-October. Previously, the project visited the neighborhood of Sant Josep, in the months of March and April where it accompanied 230 people, and the neighborhood of Santa Eulàlia, in the months of May and June where it accompanied 260 people.
The facilitators are young people from the territory who have received training from the Fundació AEMA. The itinerant initiative offers advice from Monday to Friday, alternating morning and afternoon slots, and on Fridays, it also offers free training sessions created by facilitators in accordance with the needs and requests of residents. In total, around 300 people have participated.
