On November 4, 5 and 6, the popular event will be dedicated to reconfiguring and rethinking how digital public infrastructures can help build a more just, democratic and inclusive world.
Under the motto 'Building Technology as a Public Good', on November 4, 5 and 6, Decidim Fest 2025 will fill the Canòdrom. L'Ateneu d'Innovació Digital i Democràtica. , located at Carrer de Concepción Arenal, number 165, in the city of Barcelona. In this sense, the popular event will focus on how digital public infrastructures can be reconfigured and rethinked so that they contribute to social transformation and serve democratic governance, citizen participation and social justice. What are the technopolitical principles that guarantee that a technology is open and equitable? What are the public policies that promote the sustainability of digital commons? How are digital infrastructures reconfigured to serve social transformation instead of corporate interests? Decidim Fest 2025 will answer these questions and many others, bringing together a large part of the global community and becoming a speaker for prominent voices from public institutions, entities and organizations in the sector with the aim of imagining and collectively building digital infrastructures that are open, democratic and rooted in the common good. This year, Decidim Fest 2025 will also collaborate with the Mozilla Festival 2025 , which will be held on November 7, 8 and 9 in the city of Barcelona, to organize the Barcelona Open Tech Week 2025, an event that will position the city as a center of technology for the common good at the intersection of democracy, technology and digital rights.
