Promoted by the Department of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the III International Congress for the Eradication of Gender-Based Violence will become a space for meeting, reflection and exchange of knowledge and experiences around gender-based violence that affects children and adolescents. The conference will take place on November 10 and 11 in the city of Barcelona. Specifically, the meeting will delve into vicarious violence and digital violence that impacts children, adolescents and young people. The main reflections will be: the impacts of vicarious violence on children and adolescents; the judicial, psychological, social and institutional responses to this violence; the challenges of protecting children in contexts of gender-based violence; digital violence and its impact on young people; regulatory frameworks and international experiences, and strategies for prevention, awareness-raising, care, recovery and reparation. Consequently, the III International Congress for the Eradication of Gender-Based Violence will bring together professionals from different fields of intervention, public policy makers, institutional representatives, researchers, activists and specialized entities. Through conferences, presentations, research, debates and round tables, the event will seek to contribute to the strengthening of public policies and the consolidation of collective strategies.
