The world of artificial intelligence is expanding at an unprecedented rate. Consequently, this fact is being translated into the creation of very accurate and refined applications with a clear impact in the economic, social and political spheres. For this reason, it seeks to encourage a full, thoughtful and conscious debate about what artificial intelligence is wanted. In this context, the Center for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona, located at Carrer de Montalegre number 5, in the city of Barcelona, will organize the talk 'The paths of artificial intelligence'. The event, which will take place next Thursday, September 14, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. The talk will take advantage of the publication of the book 'Artificial intelligence explained to humans' by Jordi Torres, professor at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, who will talk with Mateo Valero, director of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center , Alfonso Valencia, head of the Life Sciences Department of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, and Karina Gibert, director of the Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Data Science Research Center. Likewise, the session will be moderated by journalist Pere Buhigas. The intention will be to retrace the paths of this accelerated technological evolution and reflect on future scenarios.
