The Canòdrom will host the conversation that will revolve around digital sovereignty and will propose possible alternative paths to promote fair, equitable and sustainable digitalization with Cecilia Rikap and Efraín Floglia.

Next Thursday, March 19, the Canòdrom. L'Ateneu d'Innovació Digital i Democràtica. , located at Carrer de Concepción Arenal, number 165, in the city of Barcelona, will host the talk 'Who is who in the digital era?: dependency, sovereignty and progress'. Led by Cecilia Rikap, author of the book 'The theory of digital dependency', the conversation, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., will revolve around digital sovereignty and digital rights and will propose possible alternative paths to promote fair, equitable and sustainable digitalization. Rikap will share reflections, analyses and ideas with Efraín Floglia, designer, researcher at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and member of CORE, and will point out the network of local complicity that supports the large technology companies that control the international market. The talk will allow us to delve deeper into the lines of action defined in the Pact for Digital Rights and Democratic Technologies, which aims to position Barcelona as a reference municipality in the defense of the open source principles designated by the United Nations.
