The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya has presented a call for 200 grants to cover 30% of the tuition fee for any training program during the 2025-2026 academic year. The objective is to promote access to university training for people living in rural areas. In this sense, the 200 grants from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya will be distributed in two large blocks: 100 grants will be allocated to people starting a training program (30 grants for people with a university degree, 30 grants for people with the PAU or EBAU entrance exam, 30 grants for people with a higher degree training cycle or second-degree professional training and 10 grants for people with other access routes) and 100 grants will be allocated to people continuing a university degree or master's degree training program.

Among the requirements of the call, there is being of legal age, residing in a town with less than 2,000 inhabitants or 5,000 inhabitants if it is located in a region with a population density of up to 100 inhabitants/km2 and having the will to link the training to their involvement with the rural world. Therefore, until next Monday, July 14, interested persons must fill out an application form for the call and attach the following required documentation: the national identity document or equivalent identification document, the registration certificate or the certificate of coexistence that accredits residence in rural areas, the letter of motivation expressing the proposal of how the training is linked to residence in a rural area and, finally, the responsible declaration of the applicant's academic career.
