Accent Obert and Softcatalà , in collaboration with the Generalitat de Catalunya, have developed an online repository of digital tools in Catalan. Under the name 'Galàxia, eines en català a un sol clic' , the initiative seeks to become a quality toolbox that is made available to the community to be able to work in the Catalan language safely, free of charge and freely. Today, the initiative has 240 tools collected, which are distributed in four collections of digital tools: for learning Catalan, on artificial intelligence, for children and on routes and trips, and in eleven thematic categories: education, image and video, games, languages, maps and travel, music and podcasts, productivity, reference, health, well-being and sports, television and cinema and utilities.
In this sense, Accent Obert and Softcatalà review the digital tools so that each resource meets quality standards in accordance with six essential requirements: availability in Catalan, respect for the privacy of users, reliable and efficient user experience, free access model, maintenance and updates that incorporate innovations, security improvements and adaptations to the needs of users and online tools, accessible from any digital device and without the need for installation. Thus, beyond the 240 tools collected, currently, the initiative has 886 searches made and 9,456 accesses made to digital tools in Catalan through the official website.
