Next Tuesday, June 16, at 9:30 am, the Palau Robert facilities will host a key day to discuss the decisive role of Catalonia in the future challenges of the digital sector. Under the title 'Catalonia as a digital hub of southern Europe', the Cercle Tecnològic de Catalunya will promote the event, where data centers, artificial intelligence tools, digitalization and the competitiveness of Catalonia will be discussed. Specifically, the proposal will address the role of data centers as infrastructure. In this sense, Albert Tort, Secretary of Telecommunications and Digital Transformation of the Generalitat de Catalunya, will present the strategy of the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya to consolidate Catalonia as a data center hub. A round table will then be held with experts from the digital and technological fields, where infrastructures, economic reimbursement, talent and territorial impact will be discussed.
