Gender stereotypes are preconceived ideas about how men and women should behave. They limit our freedom, our expression and our development as people.
To address this situation, DigitalFems is launching a meme contest to hack the control and social weight of gender stereotypes .
The contest is open until April 2 and you can participate as many times as you like with different memes.
How can you participate?
1. Create a Meme (animated gif or static image) that shows gender stereotypes and publish it on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #FuckGenderRoles. It's very important that you mention @DigitalFems, if they can't find you.
2. Share a Meme you've seen out there that report gender stereotypes with the hashtag #FuckGenderRoles, and mention on @DigitalFems.
If you don't know how to make memes or don't have the time to do them, you can use their meme list , choose one and share it. Just post it with the #FuckGenderRoles tag and mention @DigitalFems.
