'PòdCATs' is a new digital platform that brings together programs in Catalan on various topics: technology, science, humor, sports, culture, history, music, current affairs, society and many more, facilitating the discovery of content that is unfortunately hidden by the algorithms of the large platforms. Currently, the initiative brings together 1,675 podcasts from the Principality of Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the Balearic Islands, Northern Catalonia and Alghero. Thus, the initiative seeks to bring together podcasts in the Catalan language in a single space, increase their visibility and reach and support content creators. On the new digital platform 'PòdCATs', each podcast has its own file with a brief description and a direct link to the listening platform. In this sense, 'PòdCATs' does not host the programs, but becomes a specialized directory that helps discover new content and new content creators. In essence, the initiative wants to go beyond the usual recommendations of the algorithms of the large platforms and help citizens find interesting projects that often go unnoticed within the immense digital universe.
