The Secretariat for Digital Policies of the Department of Business and Employment of the Generalitat de Catalunya has recently presented a new call for grants to promote socio-digital inclusion with a budget of 200,000 euros. The new call for grants in the field of ICT is aimed at projects aimed at reducing the digital divide and promoting digital training and digital inclusion in the Catalan territory. The aim is to continue advancing the social and economic development of the country by guaranteeing full equality of opportunities, in accordance with the lines promoted by the Directorate General for Digital Economy and Society and with the strategic grant plan of the Department of Business and Employment.
Therefore, the new call for grants foresees that the beneficiary applications will receive up to 25,000 euros, which will be granted until the total budget of the new call is exhausted. The main criterion for determining the amount of the grant will be the cost of the project in coherence with the score obtained in the report according to the evaluation criteria and current budgetary availability. Consequently, companies, self-employed individuals, consortia, foundations, associations, private non-profit entities and local entities that meet the requirements established in the regulatory bases may be beneficiaries of the new call for grants. Among the mandatory requirements, there are general requirements and specific requirements, according to the team leading the project, such as, for example, that the decision-making and management bodies are committed to the growth of the project, or according to the applicants, such as, for example, that economic activity is generated in Catalonia and they are constituted as a limited liability company, public limited company, labor company, civil society, cooperative society, single-member limited company or autonomous person, as well as a consortium, foundation, association or private non-profit entity, local entity or, ultimately, any other organization or constitution that has its own form of legal personality.
In this sense, applicants must submit a descriptive technical report of the project, which includes the start and end dates and the place of implementation, and a complete and detailed budget for the project, which contains the income forecast and the expenditure forecast, the amount requested and the sources of financing.
The deadline to formalize the application is Tuesday, April 28, at 2 p.m.
