Within the framework of the Artificial Intelligence Strategy of Catalonia , the Secretariat of Digital Policies of the Generalitat of Catalonia has presented the Aina Hack , a hackathon lasting twenty-four hours, uninterrupted and face-to-face, where the participating teams will try to solve some of the great challenges of the Catalan Public Administration through the development of technological solutions based on artificial intelligence. Specifically, the following four major challenges have been raised: simplification and accessibility of administrative information, virtual assistance and automation of digital services, inclusion of dialects of Catalan in digital services, and personalization of content for citizens. The celebration of the twenty-four-hour hackathon Aina Hack will have the collaboration of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), Eurecat, Center for Telecommunications and Information Technologies of the Generalitat of Catalonia, CIDAI, Fundació i2CAT , Microsoft and NTT DATA and will be promoted on November 8 and 9 at Espai Bital, located at Carrer de José Agustín Goytisolo, number 22-28, in the town of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

With the aim of contributing to the improvement of public services and promoting the use of Catalan in the digital sphere, the participating teams will have to develop technological solutions based on artificial intelligence. As requirements, the participating teams must use resources generated by the Aina Program , promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya, with the collaboration of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS). The generated resources are available in the Aina Kit , which includes language models and datasets available to developers of artificial intelligence and language technologies products and services. Among the participating teams, two prizes will be awarded: a first prize of 4,000 euros and a second prize of 2,000 euros.
