The aim of the initiative has been the normalization of video games in Catalan, the cultural preservation of the Catalan language and the pressure for digital and multimedia regularization.

Last Tuesday, February 25, the twelfth edition of the Martí Gasull i Roig Awards was held, a gathering to give visibility to Catalan talent and commitment to the Catalan language. Under the title 'Weaving a land of infinite words', the celebration recognized the work of three finalist projects: the Afers publishing house, the Téntol program and the project to promote Catalan within the world of video games 'Ce Trencada'. Specifically, the 'Ce Trencada' project was born with four central objectives: the normalization of video games in Catalan, the cultural preservation of the Catalan language, institutional pressure for digital and multimedia regularization and the creation of European and global interest in the Catalan language. These four axes articulate the mission and vision of the project.

The 'Ce Trencada' project has been one of the three finalist projects out of a total of six hundred proposals presented in the twelfth edition of the Martí Gasull i Roig Awards. The project offers around fifty video games in Catalan such as Abathor (Pow Pixel Games), Exophobia (Zark Attack) or Jett Rider (Last Chicken Games). Likewise, the project community can share video games, software and other content in Catalan.
