This April, the educational robotics team from Punt Òmnia PES - La Mina , together with the educational robotics team from Casal dels Infants, won the local educational robotics competition for the VEX IQ system. Organized by the Barcelona Est School of Engineering (EEBE) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), the event brought together six teams that competed in a friendly manner, testing the robots they had been working on in recent months. Specifically, several cooperative games were played that ended up being very close and exciting for all those in attendance. Exceptionally, in the final games, a tie at 72 points caused a great surprise, both due to the high score and to know how the classification would be resolved. Finally, the organization took into account the points from the previous games and proclaimed the alliance of the teams from Punt Òmnia PES - La Mina and Casal dels Infants as the winners. This victory has become a recognition of the effort of the educational robotics team of Punt TIC. The VEX IQ robotics championship is a project of the Diagonal - Besòs University Campus of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), which accompanies local teams and encourages organizations, entities and educational centers to foster the technological spirit among children, adolescents and young people throughout the Catalan territory.
