Increasingly, we have a dependence on electronic devices and this implies more ways to interact. The field related to the current interaction between human-machine is the automatic speech recognition (RAP), which allows the control of computers with oral commands.
To solve these questions, Col·lectivaT organizes training sessions to deepen into the current situation of speech technologies, as they are dominated by large companies, and how the communities in Catalonia are facing it. The available free tools will be detailed to create RAP systems and the initiatives that are generating open data to train them.
The training is aimed at developers and makers and people working in the language sector and it is necessary to bring a computer.

November 7 and 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In these sessions, participants will learn: the basic concepts of speech technologies the effect of the new technologies of deep learning in the sector existing services, and their coverage of minority languages the implications of these services for monitoring and data security.
November 20 and 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
La Lealtad Santsenca: Calle de Olzinelles, 31, 08014 Barcelona
In these sessions, the details of state-of-the-art speech technologies will be deepened in the components necessary to build a speech synthesis system such as synthesizing speech through open technologies where specific resources can be found for Catalan. Participants must bring their computers to both sessions. Programming tasks will be done via the browser, preferably with Firefox, Chrome or Safari.
