The Punt Òmnia Camins Fundació has promoted a programming workshop that proposed the creation of a small video game where a superheroine fought against sexist violence.

As part of International Women's Day, last Tuesday, March 3, the Punt Òmnia Camins Fundació organized a programming workshop that proposed the creation of a small video game where a superheroine fought against gender violence. Designed for children aged 6 to 12, the proposal had ten participating boys and girls who shared some time creating the character, designing the scenarios and enjoying the adventure. "This afternoon it is the turn of the little ones at the Punt TIC. Through programming with Scratch, we experience a very special activity, so that boys and girls can see that women can program, build, create and be the protagonists," said Sílvia Hernández, organizer of the Punt Òmnia Camins Fundació.

At the same time, the same afternoon, the Punt TIC, located at 61 Sant Antoni Abat Street in the city of Barcelona, hosted a new session of the health group. "One of our participants, Carmen, is running a self-managed space where issues such as unwanted loneliness or the importance of changing the way we look at health are addressed," added Hernández. "The group is called 'The Other Look' and brings together people interested in working on health in an alternative way," explained Carmen Carrazoni, promoter of the health group. "Next week, as part of the 8M, we will have Pepa Serra, Barcelona's medal of honor for her contribution to neighborhood participation, and we will be able to share a great time with her," said Carrazoni.

These days, the Punt Òmnia Camins Fundació is organizing other proposals such as, for example, research activities, screenings, games, dynamics or solidarity actions on the occasion of International Women's Day. "We have been Punt Òmnia since 1999. In fact, we are one of the pioneers in Catalonia, from here, from the Raval neighborhood, and today, twenty-six years later, we continue with the same desire," concluded Hernández.
