On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Department of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat de Catalunya will organize several activities of an interdepartmental, intersectional and territorial nature to reflect and debate on the challenges of defending rights humans in this new decade. In this context, next Friday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the day 'Human rights in the age of artificial intelligence' will be held in the Josep Irla auditorium, located in Plaça Pompeu Factory number 1, in the city of Girona. The event will feature an initial presentation on artificial intelligence, human rights and ethical values by Joan Manuel del Pozo, professor emeritus and former trustee of the University of Girona. Then, there will be a round table on artificial intelligence, human rights and social services which will be moderated by Albert Sabater, director of the Ethics Observatory in Artificial Intelligence of Catalonia (OEIAC), and where Karina Gibert will participate , Judith Membrives and Beatriz López. Finally, the closing ceremony of the day 'Human rights in the era of artificial intelligence' in the Josep Irla auditorium in the city of Girona will be given by Gina Tost i Faus, Secretary of Digital Policies of the Generalitat of Catalonia
