The event aims to promote the creation of innovative technology solutions to solve problems of the Catalan municipalities of Calonge, Cambrils, Reus, Sant Cugat, Terrassa and Vilafranca; through connecting entrepreneurs, developers, organizations and technical experts.

During the event, explained the conditions of participation. Ideas submitted must fit into one of these topics:

Mobility and Transport
Energy and Sustainability
Health & Wellness
city Col·laobrativa

The first finalist will win a prize of 5,000 euros; the second 3,000 euros and the third 2,000 euros. The best project from each theme will be the possibility of a pilot project in the city that has led within the framework of Catalonia SmartLab. The first winner of the challenge Smartcat participate in the final of the international contest Smart City Hack within the Smart City Expo World Congress to be held in November.
