The City Council of Barcelona organizes these meetings in order to:
- Contribute to public awareness about the extent of the problem of hate speech in social networks, paying special attention to its impact on individuals and groups.
- Facilitate discussion on hate speech in social networks among the various stakeholders.
- Debate about the limits of freedom of expression as an essential starting point for any responsible strategy set against hate speech.
The program of the International Conference #BCNvsOdi: Control yourself on social networks! including round tables, conferences and workshops. It will begin the afternoon of Thursday 2 March and will take place throughout the day on Friday 3 March. Will the Centre for Contemporary Culture in Barcelona (CCCB). Attendance is free and must register in advance.
