This meeting will seek smart solutions to mobility problems in three different environments: cities, land and industrial estates.
The participants, in teams, will have to respond to different challenges, such as:
- Manage parking in the street: the flow of cars and parking right.
- Reducing the number of private cars in city centers.
- Improving public and sustainable transport, especially in extra urban environments.
- Improving information and traffic management and parking of heavy vehicles, especially in industrial environments such as polygons.
The Indeathon will be held the first Saturday of July, in the Nodus building of the industrial park Can Salvatella Barberè del Vallès. Registration can be done through this link.
The Smartcat Challenge is an initiative of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Cybersecurity and Digital Society of the Generalitat of Catalonia. In this second edition, entrepreneurs and citizens created technological solutions to challenges mobility and social inclusion.
With the ideathon will start a process of four months, during which the participants will have access to the online platform incubation of Smart City Hack and will have mentors and technological resources that guide them to transform their initial ideas in real projects.
The challenge will end with an online competition where the public and the jury will choose the best solutions to compete in the final, which will take place in the autumn of 2017. The best project from each theme will have the possibility of a pilot project within the framework of Catalonia SmartLab.
