Within the framework of International Women's Day, the new awareness-raising campaign of the Generalitat de Catalunya focuses on the claim that women's rights and freedoms are the result of decades of struggle and commitment of previous generations. This 2026, the fiftieth anniversary of the first Catalan Women's Days is commemorated, a historical milestone that marked a before and after in the claim of women's rights in Catalonia. Under the title 'Dreams, like the struggle, come from afar' , the campaign focuses on the past, on the advances achieved around sexual rights, political participation, care, etc., and looks to the future, on the pending challenges. In this sense, the aim is to make this thread visible between generations and remember that equality is a collective construction that has not yet been achieved. From the Punt TIC Network, we join the new awareness campaign and take the opportunity to highlight the transformative role of women in all areas of life, and, especially, within the technological field.

In this regard, the Generalitat de Catalunya wants to take advantage of the occasion to publicize the network of services available to women throughout the Catalan territory. First, there are the SIAD, Women's Information and Care Services, which provide advice on any topic: health, work, housing, etc. There are also the SIE, Specialized Intervention Services, which offer comprehensive care to women who suffer from a situation of gender-based violence and their children. There is also the Specialized Intervention Service in addressing Digital Gender-Based Violence, which was recently inaugurated and offers specialized technological, legal and psychological care to women who suffer from a process of digital gender-based violence and their children, as well as advising and advising professionals who accompany citizens. Similarly, there is a helpline for women in situations of violence on 900 900 120, and, finally, in case of emergency, you can call 112.
