With the desire to see the adequacy of the contents and the dynamics, the pilot test of the program has been carried out in five points in Barcelona, Lliça d'Amunt, Canovelles and Parets del Vallès.

The municipality of Parets del Vallès has been one of the five places that have hosted the pilot test of the program 'More Digital'. "The pilot test of the program 'More Digital' consisted of a fifteen-hour training course at the most basic level that aimed to train and improve the digital skills of around fifteen participants. Personally, I think it is essential to be able to accompany older people in this process with the desire to break the digital divide", explains Adriana Díaz, teacher of the pilot test of the program 'More Digital'. In the same way, the pilot test was carried out at two points in Barcelona, one in Lliça d'Amunt and one in Canovelles. Therefore, the courses have had a total duration of fifteen hours and have been carried out in small groups. Specifically, three different training itineraries have been offered in accordance with the previous knowledge of the participants: 'Discover the digital world', 'We move through the digital world' and 'We enter the digital world'. "We learned how to use the mobile phone. For example, we learned how to change the background of the main screen of the mobile phone or how to create a chat group on WhatsApp. I really liked the course and if a similar course with a more advanced level is scheduled in the near future, I would really like to be able to do it", says Teresa Esteve, participant in the pilot test of the program 'More Digital'.

As part of the Shock Plan against the Digital Divide 2024-2025, the General Directorate of Digital Society of the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya promotes the program 'More Digital' which has a budget of 22.7 millions of euros that will be used to promote the digital empowerment of more than 90,000 people through more than 9,000 courses that will be taught throughout Catalonia to help citizens achieve basic skills in the digital field and at the same time improve their quality of life through the use of technologies in a safe, inclusive, sustainable, democratic and equitable way.
