From now on Telecentre Europe will be called ALL DIGITAL. The European leader in promoting digital skills celebrates ten years of partnership, motivation, dedication and development and takes advantage of the event to transform itself and become ALL DIGITAL.
During these 10 years, the European network of telecentres has faced different challenges, depending on the needs of the moment. Now it focuses on the 170 million Europeans who have an insufficient level of digital skills. It works to support them in obtaining the digital skills necessary to take advantage of online services and research work and to have a better quality of life and be fully included in the digital society.
In 2007, a small group of leaders of digital inclusion for the first time met in Barcelona to discuss the expansion of local and national initiatives and the potential of a thematic network in Europe. Ten years later, Telecentre Europe, now ALL DIGITAL, is one of the main European associations in the field of digital skills.
Over the years, Telecentre Europe was guided by its core values and strategic objectives defined via strategic plans. Now they consider that "in a rapidly changing digital society, the organization must keep pace and redefine itself to new challenges and opportunities." ALL DIGITAL "has a new vision based on the past and looks to the future. A vision that addresses the current and future skills shortages in Europe. A vision that embraces all and a new identity." ALL DIGITAL believes that every European "should be able to exploit the benefits and opportunities created by the digital transformation" and it works with this goal.
