With the aim of breaking the socio-digital divide, the Catalan cooperative Colectic, with the support of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, is boosting the Code Club initiative. Specifically, Code Clubs are free after-school technology and programming activities designed for girls and boys aged 9 to 13 and run by volunteers, educators and collaborators who offer citizens a unique opportunity to learn in a fun and dynamic way. This winter, the initiative proposes new activities in three different formats: 'Code Club Complet' to enjoy programming without limits (requirement: a minimum of 26 hours from December), 'Code Club Introducción' to delve deeper into programming in an exciting and entertaining way (requirement: 15 hours between November and December), and 'Code Club Tastet' to delve into the world of programming (requirement: 8 intensive hours during December).

A Code Club can be implemented in school spaces and community spaces such as, for example, an ICT Point. In this sense, the requirements are to have a space with computers or tablets and an Internet connection, to bring together a group of boys and girls aged 9 to 13 with a desire to learn and experiment, to be available to do a minimum of 8 hours of activity and to designate a person responsible for the space to manage registrations and coordinate with the Code Club technical team. At the same time, the Code Club technical team will offer the necessary support to guarantee the success of the initiative at the ICT Point, including training volunteers, distributing teaching materials to boost technology and programming sessions and support. Likewise, the Code Club initiative is open to the incorporation of new volunteers who want to share their time and technological knowledge with children and young people.
