Next Wednesday, April 9, at 6:15 p.m., the report 'How should artificial intelligence be built from data feminism?' will be presented and a conversation will be held between two leading women: Montse Boix, journalist, former delegate for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and former editor of Equality at RTVE, and Lourdes Muñoz, president of Dones en Xarxa and director of the Barcelona Open Data Initiative. There will also be a speech by Sonia Guerra, secretary general of the Department of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat de Catalunya and president of the Catalan Women's Institute. This year, the meeting will take place at the Black Lab, which is located in the Palau de Mar, at Plaça Pau Vila, number 1, in the city of Barcelona. During the event, the three women experts will discuss gender bias, the violence that can be amplified by new technologies and the opportunities for transformation offered by artificial intelligence if approached from a feminist perspective. The proposal is part of the 'Còctels&Net' initiative, a face-to-face meeting, debate and networking event for all women interested in new technologies, data feminism and the impacts on women's rights. Organized by Dones en Xarxa , the initiative aims to promote entrepreneurship and leadership through strategies of sisterhood, cooperation, participation and visibility of women within the field.
